Walking into this home, the first thing that greets you is the sight of the sea. The house is directly behind a short seawall with views from virtually every room. The designer-furnished home is two-stories with three oceanfront bedrooms, two on the ground floor and one on the second floor. Each room has been lovingly decorated with earth and island colors, art, and quilts. The great room featuring, kitchen, dining and living areas have hardwood floors, high ceilings, elegant fans and a stunning view of the ocean. The modern kitchen is a joy in which to prepare meals with plentiful counter space, utensils and kitchenware. There are bar stools to pull up alongside the chef, for family and friends who enjoy chatting and cooking together.
An office conveniently located next to the kitchen has built-in desktops with room for a laptop or two. A printer/fax machine is available, with charges for long distance calls. Complimentary high-speed wireless Internet is provided for your use.
Down the hall are two oceanside bedrooms with private baths plus a guest half-bath midway. A huge hall closet is home to fluffy bath linens and colorful beach towels. The nearby laundry room has a folding area and sink.
Upstairs, the third oceanside bedroom has a full bath, king-size bed, seating area, and small covered lanai with chairs for two or three. Colorful Hawaiian art and quilts complete the gracious feel of this room.
One of the highlights of this house is the oceanfront-covered lanai, which travels the entire length of the house. The owners have provided comfortable sofas, chairs and lounges, plus outdoor dining for 8. The cool ocean breezes, the palm and kiawe trees nearby make this a restful setting for relaxing into the island pace. Over the stairway on the seawall you can carry your beach chairs and snorkel gear to explore the tide pools and the reef. This is a cozy stretch of shoreline with interesting tidal pools, which teem with sea life. Snorkeling is available year road at the reef drop-off, so bring reef walkers to wear under your fins for the easiest way to explore this area.
Ohana Hale also has a more rustic one-bedroom cottage on the property if you need room for another two guests. This original beach cottage has new hardwood floors, fresh paint and colorful island prints. There is a full kitchen, full bath and bedroom with queen-size bed. To assure your privacy and peace, this cottage is not rented out to any other party during your stay.
