The Puako Hylton (named for its designer/owner) is a 4200-square-foot villa surrounded by immaculate, fragrant tropical landscaping. Newly built, the Hylton feels like an intimate seaside resort at the very edge of the pristine sand of Puako Beach. In this upstairs ohana, you have privacy, comfort, amenities and lovely ocean and sunset views. Take your personal path to the beach and enjoy your back-yard seaside playground while swimming, snorkeling or relaxing in a hammock under the swaying palms. A short walk takes you to the local favorite, the Puako General Store, for a snack, soda, book swap and friendly spot to talk story with passers-by.

After entering the gated villa with ample parking, your haven is upstairs beyond the graceful entryway. On your lanai (deck), you’ll have views of Maui and our own Kohala Mountains. Inside, lovingly designed with bamboo flooring, Balinese teak and mahogany décor, the ohana is comfortable, convenient and air-conditioned. Louvered doors separate the living room from the bedroom. The king-size bed is topped with a one-of-a-kind mirrored, carved headboard. Work (if you must!) at a full-size desk complete with wireless Internet. A large walk-in closet contains a dresser, safe, and ironing board. The bathroom counter is custom-made of glass tiles set into a cherry-wood vanity, completed with an etched-glass washbowl. Your walk-in shower is tiled with Travertine and finished with a teak bench. The bathroom is thoughtfully provided with its own separate air conditioning.
