Unlike other booking agents, we personally greet you when you check-in to your Puako, Big Island beach vacation rental home (having done a thorough pre-check to be sure everything is as it should be) and we keep in touch during your stay. We can’t promise that nothing will go wrong, but if it does, you will be able to reach us in a hurry. We answer the phone and return calls promptly if we miss them—you will never get lost in complicated voicemail or reach an impersonal answering service. During our 25 years here, we have built relationships with an extensive network of people we can rely on—plumbers, electricians, pool service, personal chefs, cleaners – whatever it takes to make things right.

Mary Fox R (B), Owner
“I live in Puako,” Mary says, “and work here, so I am 5 minutes away. Often I come over personally to take care of your needs. Or I send someone who is right for the job.”

Mary grew up in Iowa, “where we believed in hard work and getting things right, no matter what it takes. When I moved to Hawaii 25 years ago, I caught the ‘aloha spirit,’ maybe because it fit so well with that Midwestern friendliness.” Jumping right into the guest-services industry, Mary learned the “guests are Number One” mantra at the prestigious Mauna Lani Hotel, and honed her “grace under pressure” temperament as a private chef and caterer before turning to vacation-rental management.
“It’s my personal goal that you have a wonderful experience during your stay, from booking your home to that final ‘aloha’ as you head back home.”

Robbie Jose
Robbie was born on the Big Island, into a ranching family. She has fond memories of playing in Puako’s tidal pools when she was a little girl, “hanging out with family and friends. It’s such a special place and still has that laid-back feeling.” Robbie also lived on the mainland for a number of years, where she learned a lot about what visitors to Hawaii are hoping to experience. And she has the local knowledge to help guests have that experience.

Mary,

I have been looking for rentals in Hawaii and have found two that I’ve reserved for January. However, I wanted to let you know that I found your website yesterday, (it seems a day late) and I wish I had found it sooner. I have never found so much information on one website. . . and it was all helpful! I felt I got the real flavor of Puako and even found a place to rent horses while we are there and a boat to go snorkeling.

Besides, originally being an Iowa girl myself, I felt I should let you know how refreshing I found your website. Next year you can be sure I will go through you. (Just wish I’d found it earlier.)
Probably taken enough of your time, but wanted to let you know what I thought . . . thanks!
