Next door is the Puako General Store, great for snacks, essentials and friendly “talk story.” Walk or ride the two miles of Puako Beach Drive or explore the beachside route. Hop in the car for a quick (5 minute) ride to two of Hawaii’s best beaches: Waialea Bay (known locally as “69” for the number on the telephone pole that once marked the beach access) for snorkeling and shade or expansive Hapuna Beach for waves, sun, sand and a food shack. “This was a very comfortable stay at a clean and well stocked condo in a charming neighborhood away from all of the resorts but easily accessible to them and some of the best beaches there are. Great for watching sunsets, snorkeling, whale watching and checking out the sea turtle. Nice people abound in this lovely neighborhood and 2 Papayas was available and extremely attentive.”

“We (three adults and a toddler) enjoyed our stay tremendously. Puako is a really quiet, residential area. I enjoyed runs to the end of Puako Beach Drive each morning where I saw more pedestrians than cars. The condo, while compact, had everything we could need like extra towels, multiple beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkel gear. The modern kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook for ourselves which we did 2/3 meals each day, including a full size dishwasher, fridge, and oven. The beds were VERY comfortable, mattresses seemed brand new. ”

“My husband, 4-year old child, and my parents all stayed in this condo and we loved it. It is a quiet location, with easy beach access just across the street, only 1 mile away from Beach 69, and 2 miles from Hapuna Beach (both amazing beaches). My husband and I rented road bikes and biked from the condo in the morning. In the afternoon we'd go across the street to see the sea turtles and tidepool with our kiddo. We got our groceries at nearby Foodland Farms (or right next door at the local grocery store if we forgot something) and then grilled at the condo at night for dinner. It was an ideal vacation spot. The condo was very clean and the property managers super helpful and responsive anytime I emailed them with a question. I'd definitely return and would recommend it to my friends and family.”

“This place was amazing! The condo was beautiful and clean. Sean met us at the condo after our long flight to welcome us and give us all the information that we needed. The grounds manager Sarah was so nice and was a wealth of knowledge. Fruit trees were abundant on the property and we had fresh grapefruit everyday. We loved the having all of the beach supplies for us to use. Most days we had the beach all to ourselves, snorkeled and had many encounters with turtles. Beach 69 is right around the corner and is also a gorgeous, shady beach. We are in love with Puako!”
